Antiques and collectibles:

My father James O'Kelley, also known as "Papa Jim" has spent 40 of his 85 years buying and selling antiques, calling his business Brickstore Antiques. He moved his business from Gainesville Georgia to his hometown here in Maysville. I have restored a building downtown to showcase his inventory adjacent to Heritage Chair Caning's building. The antique shop is located on 7 Homer Street. 

We have collectibles, lamps, artwork, glassware, tables, chairs, pie safes, wardrobes, bookcases, blanket chests, primitives, as well as pottery. These items are revolving day to day as we liquidate estates, go to auctions, and sales. We are always looking for those great items! One aspect of our trade is just that; we love to trade and barter. This gives us an edge that is not always available. We participate in the Scott's Antique Market, which occurs every second full weekend of the month. We have had booths in this market for over 20 years. The market is held at the Atlanta Expo, which is on Jonesboro Rd. exit off of 285. We are located in the south building, which is outside of the perimeter. The North building is located inside of the perimeter. Our spaces are row L-1 5125 through 5128. 

We also attend America's Mart and the Las Vegas Furniture Shows. The shows keep us informed on new decorating ideas as well as upcoming styles and colors. We are committed to the industry and are eager to learn.
